Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains how to request deletion of personal data held by Onecount Notify.

If you are a shopper

Your subscription, contact information, and engagement history are held on behalf of the Shopify merchant whose store you subscribed through. To delete this data:

  1. Click the unsubscribe link in any notification email you received — this removes you from active sending lists immediately.
  2. Contact the merchant directly to request full deletion of your account and historical records. The merchant is the data controller and can delete your data through their Shopify admin (Customers → Privacy → Erase personal data).
  3. Or email us at privacy@onecount.app with your email/phone and the merchant store name. We will forward the request and confirm completion within 30 days.

If you are a Shopify merchant

Uninstalling Onecount Notify from your Shopify admin triggers automatic deletion of all your customer data within 30 days, in accordance with Shopify's GDPR mandatory webhooks (shop/redact, customers/redact, customers/data_request).

To delete a specific customer's data without uninstalling, use Shopify's built-in Erase personal data action on the customer record. Onecount Notify will receive Shopify's redaction webhook and purge that customer's records within 30 days.

What we retain

Aggregated, anonymized analytics (no personal identifiers) and records required for legal/audit purposes (e.g. unsubscribe consent timestamps to demonstrate compliance) may be retained beyond the deletion window, but cannot be linked back to an individual.
